We’ll note your preference and notify you if your room is ready before 4:00 p.m. While early check-in is sometimes available, the only way to guarantee it is by reserving the room for the night before your arrival. In the meantime, we’re happy to store your luggage so you can enjoy our amenities while your room is prepared.

Service animals are permitted. While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA. For the convenience of all guests and to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, pets are allowed only in the Beach Club Cottages. View our pet policy here.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is a smoke-free property. Smoking is prohibited in guest rooms or on the grounds, including the beach.

Guest passes are available for visitors based on the season:

• During the Offseason (October–May), guests may host up to 10 visitors per guestroom. Fees apply: $30 per adult and $10 per child.
• During the Summer Season (June–September), guests may host up to 4 visitors per guestroom. Fees apply: $40 per adult and $20 per child.
• All visitors must be registered at the Guest Booth or by calling x4678 from your guestroom phone.

Yes, we have designated pickleball courts located in the scenic Spindrift Pavilion, as well as designated tennis courts lined for pickleball use.

Golf Clubs are available at no additional charge. Tennis racquets and pickleball paddles are available to rent at The Burgee Boutique.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is situated in an area that offers plenty of exciting attractions. Some of the top nearby attractions include the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, Torrey Pines State Reserve, La Jolla Cove, and the San Diego Zoo. There are also several world-class golf courses and shopping destinations in the area.

La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club offers complimentary set-up and use of lounge chairs, side tables, umbrellas and towels. Beach Barbeques, including tables and chairs, may be rented for a nominal fee through Beach Services for parties of up to eight people from the same household or guest room only. Beach fireplaces may also be rented through Beach Services from mid-September to mid-June. Casual food and beverage service is available on the beach through our seasonal Beach Hut, and year-round from our Club Dining room and Walnut Lounge.

Yes, fire pits are available for rent from September through June. Please contact Beach Services for availability and fees.

Yes, alcohol is permitted on the exclusive beach in front of La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Drinks may be purchased at the Walnut Lounge, Club Dining, and seasonally at the Beach Hut.
